The VIEGA Smartpress tee (model 6726.4, article 730444) keeps a 16 mm press-fit run through on two ports while branching off a 1/2″ external (tapered) thread on the third, letting a threaded fixture, valve, or appliance be tapped directly off a Smartpress composite pipe run.

It’s made from gunmetal (bronze), with press connections on the two 16 mm ports for Viega Smartpress multilayer composite pipe and a conical male thread on the branch. Like the rest of the range, the press ports carry SC-Contur, so an unpressed connection shows up as a visible leak once the system is filled for testing.

It’s a practical way to bring a threaded connection point off a Smartpress distribution run without adding a separate tee and adapter.
