Description

The VIEGA Smartpress wall plate (model 6725.7, article 730413) is a fixed-point fitting for bringing a Smartpress multilayer pipe run out to a threaded outlet, most commonly for a shower mixer, angle valve or wall-mounted tap. The body is bronze (Rg5 gunmetal), the same material family used across Viega’s metal Smartpress press fittings, and it carries two 16 mm press connections in-line with a 1/2″ internal (Rp) thread branching off between them.

Like the rest of the Smartpress range, the fitting uses Viega’s SC-Contur: if it is filled with water before being pressed, the joint leaks visibly at low pressure rather than failing silently later, which is a useful pressure-test safeguard during first fill.

Because both main connections are 16 mm press fittings, it drops directly into a standard Smartpress multilayer pipe run without adapters, and the wall plate’s flange gives it a solid, immovable base for a fixture connection point.
