The VIEGA Smartpress reducing tee (model 6718, article 729967) branches a 16 mm outlet off a 20 x 16 mm run, all three ports made with Viega’s press connection. It’s part of the same stainless steel Smartpress T-piece family as the 20 x 20 x 16 mm and 16 x 20 x 16 mm variants, sized for a specific combination of main and branch diameters.
As with other Smartpress metal fittings, the joint includes SC-Contur, so any port left unpressed becomes visibly leaky as soon as the system is filled with water for testing, rather than staying hidden.
It’s a compact way to take a branch connection off a distribution run without introducing a separate reducer and standard tee.
