Description

The VIEGA Smartpress elbow (model 6714, article 729707) changes the direction of a 16 mm Smartpress run through a right angle, with a press connection on one side and a 1/2″ external (conical) thread on the other.

It’s made from gunmetal (bronze), with a wrench flat for tightening the threaded side. It carries SC-Contur on the press connection, so an unpressed joint shows up as a visible leak once the system is filled for testing.

It’s used to bring a Smartpress composite pipe run out to a threaded fixture connection while changing direction in the same fitting.
