Description
The VIEGA Rotguss reducer (model 3241, article 266486) steps a 1″ external (R) thread down to a 1/2″ internal (Rp) thread, letting a smaller-threaded fitting, valve, or appliance be connected onto a larger threaded run.
It’s made from Rotguss, a corrosion-resistant copper-tin-zinc casting alloy commonly marketed as gunmetal or red brass, with a polygonal wrench flat for tightening, threaded to DIN EN 10226-1. It’s approved for potable water and gas installations.
It’s a common way to bring a threaded distribution run down to a small branch size, such as for an individual fixture connection, without a separate bushing and nipple.
