Description

The VIEGA Smartpress transition piece (model 6711, article 729530) transitions a 16 mm Smartpress press connection to a 1/2″ external (conical) thread, letting the composite pipe run terminate at a threaded fixture, valve, or appliance connection.

It’s made from gunmetal (bronze), with a wrench flat for tightening the threaded side. It carries SC-Contur on the press connection, so an unpressed joint shows up as a visible leak once the system is filled for testing.

It’s a straightforward way to bring a Smartpress composite pipe run out to a standard male-threaded connection point without introducing a separate coupling and nipple.
